Q: What interests you most about IT?

A: I love IT because everything just makes sense, it clicks. It’s also super innovative. The other day I read that someone is making a toaster and you can have a meme on it. It’ll actually toast a meme onto your bread. Things like that aren’t absolutely needed, but it’s fun for the general public! There are a lot of ways to have fun with IT and you can bring it to other places that don’t have it yet.

Q: What is your favorite work memory from Jones IT?

A: My first time going onsite solo, I had to help a C-level employee. They wouldn’t really let me troubleshoot, they just kept getting frustrated and clicking back and forth. I couldn’t help but laugh, but I realized I needed to be professional even in the funny situations. People don’t know what they don’t know, and it’s my job to help them get it accomplished or fixed!

Q: What is one of your favorite things/ passions outside of work?

A: I love going on long drives! I’m the one in my family who would drive us to our vacation. I would drive the whole time without switching, I just love it. I drive myself all over the place, even to LA. I just really enjoy jamming music, being myself, it’s fun.

Q: Any advice for aspiring IT consultants?

A: Don’t be afraid to fail, you’re going to learn from it. You’re taking a chance on yourself if you want to learn IT. Just trust the process. If you want to learn more, Jones IT is a great place to do it. If you want to learn IT, go to Jones. That should be our slogan! It’s in the name, come here and we’ll teach you everything!

Q: Best advice for start-ups/small businesses looking to improve their current IT setup?

A: Go to Google and ask all of the questions you have. Look at the FAQ’s for the services you already use. There’s SO much information there. Also, track all of your inventory from the beginning. Once you don’t know what you’ve already bought you’re losing money.
